I have 3-4 movements daily that are loose and not formed. from what I have learned this is a side effect of Benicar which I previously took for Hpb. I changed mt diet, lost weight and blood pressure is good with no meds. stools are not watery however but they are like soft Cow pies. No vomiting and I am not on an medications. No blood or mucus in the stools. Just loose stools
Thanks
Thanks
Brief Answer:
Following general care will help to reduce the frequency
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for getting back with the answers. I have gone through them. Yes it could be because of benicar. After the drug is stopped, it take 2-3 days of improvement. Meanwhile i would suggest you following things to improve the condition:
> Take adequate oral fluids specially water.
> Loperamide twice a day.(its a prescription medication so you'll be needing to contact your local doctor for it.
> Take Zinc supplement once a day for 10 days
> Take ecobion probiotic sachets once a day
> Following diet will help to reduce the frequency:
- Banana
- Rice
- Toast
- Yogurt
AVOID:
- Dried beans, corn, vegetables.
- Caffeine-containing beverages such as coffee and tea can have a laxative effect
- Alcoholic beverages
- Fatty meats such as bacon, lunch meats, and heavily-marbled meats
- Fried foods, pastries, and chips are high in fat which can worsen diarrhea
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
