Brief Answer:
due to clonazepam, sleep if you can & reduce drug

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

petril beta is a combination of clonazepam and propranolol (dosage depending if you are on 10 or 20mg).
Clonazepam is an antianxiety cum sedative medicine and is taken in a low dose in acute anxiety attacks. This can lead to slight dizziness, confusion , sedation, lightheaded XXXXXXX to many people if the dosage is more compared to the anxiety levels it is treating ( this usually happens when patient starts having some control in his anxiety levels after taking meds for few days). So, your symptoms can be due to clonazepam.

Propranolol is a beta blocker which is used to handle palpitation, anxiety and restlessness in anxiety disorder. The usual dosage is generally between 5-10mg twice a day, preffrably till 5pm. If taken at night this can cause the symptoms you have mentioned.

So, the symptoms just appears to be the part and parcel of the side effects of the medicines you are taking.
Donot worry, it is not dangerous and it's better you sleep if you can presently and these symptoms will most probably go away when you would wake up.

If this happens again, meet your doctor and he would reduce the dosage strength of your current prescription. (you haven't mentioned the dosage else I would have tried to help you).

P.S. -if you are very worried, just get your blood pressure checked and if it is normal- try to relax.

Hope the reply is useful for you.
Wish you good health

Brief Answer:
change to paroxetine and etizolam

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Actually petril beta is not a proper drug to treat anxiety disorder or depression. It is just a symptomatic drug to manage acutre anxiety attacks.

Had I been treating you I would have gone for something like paroxetine. It is started in a dose of 12.5mg after lunch and after 10days or so increased upto 25mg.
Maximum dosage is 50mg and dosage is raised after waiting for 10-15 days for previous dose to show response.

Along with this- etizolam 0.5mg on SOS basis for managing acute anxiety is very good. This is a non sedative drug and can be easily taken at daytime. I have had very good respone with this combination in my patinets similar to you. You can discuss these meds with your treating team.

You have developed low mood not coz of petril beta but due to progression of illness. This drug (paroxetine) will help both anxiety and sadness.

Hope the reply is useful for you.
Please ask more questions for clarification if needed.

Wish you good health.
