Hello
Welcome to health care magic.
I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.
I reviewed your history.
I understand your concern.
It seems from the history that your father is having advanced glaucoma, left eye there is loss of vision and right eye partial loss of vision.
The anti glaucoma eye drops he is using in the form of Alphagan, Lumigan and Brimolol are in right direction and need to continue them.
Since he is also having cataract the next options are
1. If intraocular pressure is under good control then only cataract surgery is advised.
2.If the intraocular pressure is not under control then combined surgery for cataract and glaucoma is advised.
Do send me more details like present intraocular pressure, vision in right eye, visual fields and optic disc changes if available so that I can advice regarding further management.
Hope the information is helpful to you.
Thank you

One question it is possible to keep constant the visibility of right eye after surgery as suggested.
intracular pressure of left eye is 40 and right eye is 12.
Need to keep intraocular pressure under control.

Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.
I reviewed the reports attached with the question.
The visual fields of right eye is showing moderate loss of visual field because of glaucoma. Hence we need to set a target pressure of around 10-12 in right eye to prevent further progression of glaucoma.
Since the intraocular pressure in right eye is now 12 he can undergo either cataract surgery alone or cataract surgery with glaucoma surgery. But after any of the surgeries he needs to be on follow up and needs to be on glaucoma medications.
For left eye since it is not having any vision and the intraocular pressure is 40, it is in absolute stage of glaucoma. It needs to be treated for pain relief by cyclophotocoagulation to decrease pain and other symptoms.
Do discuss with your doctor regarding these options.
Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.
Thank you
