Suggest Remedy For Exhaustion And Chest Cold When Diagnosed With Lupus
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I have been diagnosed wtih Lupus for the past 4-5 years. One of the symptoms that keeps occuring is something I am not really getting an answer to when I ask the rheumatologist or internal medicine doctor. There are times when I feel completely exhausted, my lungs feel "heavy", like when a chest cold is starting and I get an over all achey feeling. I feel like I am coming down with a chest cold, just feel plain lousey and the only thing that helps me is to sleep and/or rest. Is this what having a lupus flair feels like? not sure what to make of it.
Brief Answer:
It appears to be constitutional feature of lupus.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,
Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well looking into your query I will like to tell you that , lupus is characterised by constitutional symptoms like malaise and very frequently patient get these issues . So yes when the disease is active you tend to experience these symptoms more .
Also I would advise you to get CPK , LDH , TSH as myositis is also a frequent symptom of lupus and thyroid functions also get frequently deranged as autoimmune thyroiditis can also be there . Plus you can send me your reports for me to have a look to see if there is any flare.
Take care.
