Suggest Remedy For Gallstone

default
Posted on Fri, 4 Dec 2015
Question: Hi on my last dr apt they discovered a 1.99cm gallstone. It is not causing me any pain and I only went in because my nutritionist thought I had a food allergy because of possible inflammation in my abdomen. If it is not causing any pain is it necessary to operate on this? I was told there was no thickening of the ducts. I am currently doing a cleanse that involves a lot of lemon juice and apple juice then olive oil. I am concerned that with the size if it tries to pass that it would get stuck in the bile duct. I am really confused as to what I should do.

Brief Answer:
Gallbladder should be removed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Even if the stone is not causing any pain at this point, still the gallbladder should be removed. It is because you are young person and your life expectancy is quite long. If so, sooner or later the stone will cause inflammation and will start giving the pain.
And it is much safer to remove the gallbladder when it is not compromised by inflammation.

Large stone wont pass through bile ducts. Not at all. Its too large. Only small stones can do that. However large one can obstruct the gallbladder and cause inflammation.

So in my opinion you should get scheduled for laparoscopic removal of the gallbladder.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
