Hello,
When she goes outdoors or into the garden, she should be wearing full length sleeve clothes and fully covered trousers or dress. She should avoid brushing against the plant with bare skin. She should wash the affected area with water and antibacterial soap. Applying cold compress or ice packs on the area affected will give relief. She can take antihistamine at bed time for relief.
in case of pain, she can take
acetaminophen, after food. For burning pain in the stomach she should get
endoscopy done to rule out any developing esophageal or
peptic ulcer. Barium swallow X-ray helps to study details on
esophagus, stomach and
small intestine. Her treatment will depend on the diagnosis made. In the meantime, she can take PPIs, for relief. She should not take spicy, oily food, processed food or packaged food. She should take home made boiled food. She should take adequate water and fluids to stay well hydrated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
