Suggest Remedy For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding And Clots
Question: I had an episode of very heavy menstrual bleeding and large clots. So much so I fainted from blood loss. The physician gave me cyklokapron (tranexamic acid) 500mg to take if the problem ever occurred again. It did not, so I never needed to take it. Now I have a very heavy flow over the past two days that is soaking through any products I wear. I have no large clots. I was going to take it as I am the main speaker at a convention and will be sitting and standing for most of the day over the next two days. How long does this medication take to kick in? The dose is 2 tablets 3 x daily when needed.

Yes, I had the scan and everything when the problem first occurred. They did not find anything and that might be why the problem has never reoccurred. However, this time it is not anywhere near as severe. It is simply a heavy flow period. If I start taking the medication above as prescribed by my physician, does it take 48 hours to slow the flow? That is the question I need answered. How quickly does this medication work? I have a major public presentation today and I need to ensure I am not running off the stage!
