Suggest Remedy For Hemorrhoid In An Infant

Question: my 11 month old had a hemorrhoid as per her pediatrician. she suggested we give her juice and that the sugar would help make her regular along with improving her diet. My baby wont eat more than a spoonful and wants only formula which i think is contributing to her constipation as well. i've tried prunes and that helps only for a day. what can I do to help her? I now see a second hemorrhoid forming and I am seeing her doctor again 3 days later only.

Brief Answer:
Diet is critical in managing this!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this in your 11months old. Getting good stools and avoiding constipation is critical in managing this condition. I will say keep looking for fruits that she might like. There is certainly some out there that she may be able to tolerate. Also, you can make them into smoothies and and add to her diet to see whether she might take in this form rather. Please, also endeavor to provide her with much fluids to help soften the stools. If all fails, then connsidering laxatives might be the last best available options.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
