I went for casual master health check-up in KIMS.
The reports says that LDL is very high (171)

Blood pressure is shown as 140/100

At present, am not under any medication. when I consulted a general physician in KIMS. He didn't suggested any medication by looking at the reports. But am bit tensed to see high cholesterol, high bp and high heart rate.
Kindly, suggest me if I can ignore these?

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr. XXXXXXX I am Dr Mody and I would be addressing your concerns.
I went through the history and attached investigation
My observations are as follows
1) your total , ldl and triglycerides are high and the good cholesterol HdL is low.
Low considering you don't have any risk factors, no need to start medication. The diet you are on is optimum. Some additional things.
If overweight consider losing weight
You may add supplement of flax seeds, cod fish oil capsules 1-2 gm /day
Cut on making oil, ghee in food preparation. May shift to Olive oil
2) the ecg is sinus tachycardia, most probably the anxiety of the test must have pushed the heart rate up.
3) Lastly the blood pressure is borderline, in most probability I would have thought like your doctor that it's due to anxiety, however in your exho report it mentions mild left ventricular hypertrophic, which means the pressure would have been higher for some long period of time atleast 6 months. So just keep on taking pressure reading at home at time times and If reading persistently high consider medication.
Cut salt in diet less than 3 gms and increase total duration of exercise to 45 mins per day.
Any further clarification I would be happy to help

Thanks for the answer doctor.

What could be causing to bring LDL at very high rate?
Am wondering that I never eat any fast foods or ghee or butter items. I usually have only home-made food with less oil. my daily breakfast is Idly for all 365 days in order to avoid oil foods.

I was in medication for Vitamin-D deficiency an year ago. And currently using maintenance dose of 60k IU once in a month. Does this causing my cholesterol levels up?

And am not anxious while taking ECG / 2D echo. But bit anxious while normal BP checkup during the consultation.

I am taking 1 spoon of soaked chia seeds on every morning to supplement for omega 3 fatty acids.

Should I stop having rice completely? and replace white rice with quinoa or brown rice?

Please suggest me.

Brief Answer:
keep a tab on blood pressure , diet modification

Detailed Answer:
I do understand your concern .

Possible explanation
- genetic pre-disposition (strong possibility)
-your diet has rice predominantly / and wheat . I would suggest more of vegetables and atleast two serving of fruits a day , the roughage will atleast prevent pure carbohydrates from being absorbed , yes supplementing rice will surely help .

Continue chia seeds.

- Exercise is important, but atleast 40-45 5 times a day is required to burn down extra fat .
- consider thyroid profile just if the pulse remains on the higher side .
- keep a tab on blood pressure, and repeat a lipid profile after 3 months .
lastly the lipid profile upper range has been brought to minimum and practically every 2nd XXXXXXX who consumes routine XXXXXXX cooked food/fatty food will have deranged lipid profile .

Its healthy living which is important. Continue that and nothing should happen otherwise .

Do rate for reference .
You may directly axcess me the next time through HCM
