Brief Answer:
An ECG is recommended.

Detailed Answer:
Hi & Welcome.
I appreciate your concern for the chest pain.
Also glad to know that you have quit smoking and alcohol forever.

It needs to be evaluated properly hence I would advise an ECG to be done to rule out any heart related problem.

After having gone through the history described in your query it seems to that the ECG done might have shown increase in heart beat which can occur due to stress, emotional disturbances, etc.

The prescribed medication Betacap (Propranolol) is a beta blocker which is commonly prescribed to treat anxiety or stress related increased heart beats & it is also effective in reducing the high BP.

My advice to you is

1. Continue to take the prescribed medication
2. If you develop fatigue, weakness, night mares, or sexual problem inform your treating doctor so that he can prescribe an alternate but safer medicine.
3. Get your fasting blood glucose, cholesterol and triglycerides done
4. Do regular exercise, avoid stress and have regular sleep pattern.

Hope the suggestion given above could be useful.

Should you more clarification, please feel free to send your follow up query.

Best regards.

Brief Answer:
It is not a life threatening situation at this moment

Detailed Answer:
Hi & Welcome back.
Thanks for your reply.

Since you have already done the Stress test and 2D Echo in July this year, there is no need to repeat them again. However an ECG is advised.
Please continue the treatment as advised, try to avoid thinking too much, avoid stress, do regular exercise, spend more time in social activity, everything will be alright, Insha Allah.

Best regards.
