Question: Since child birth 16 months ago I have had issues with hydration. After giving birth ( 9 failed epidural attempts, c section under general anesthesia, and 2 transfusions) I have had increased hyrdation challenges. I could not breastfeed bc I couldn't get hydrated enough.. I went in the er twice to get fluids post partum and that was only time I was able to produce milk. Also I have horrible headaches in my temples now. any idea what this is from?

Brief Answer:
endocrinological work up

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
In my opinion you need endocrinological work up and examination as in my opinion it is related to pituitary malfunction secondary to blood loss during cesarean section.
You need hormone testing and thus blood levels of TSH, prolactin and cortisol.
But first visit an endocrinologist for examination and then investigations because he might like to add a few tests along with these.
In case you have other questions I will be glad to answer.

Dr Manisha
