Suggest Remedy For Intolerance Towards Fermented Foods

Question: My sister has developed a problem with eating fermented food like idli, dosa or anything that is soaked overnight. This is causing her a lot of discomfort. Consultation with doctors have been told that this is not curable disease and can extend further with her not being able to eat any of the fermented food forever. As of now, she is tolerant to bread and bread products. Can we really know what causes this and is there a solution?
Brief Answer:
Please describe the symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
I have read your query. If you describe the problem (and symptoms) in detail I will be better able to help you. Does she have food allergy or food intolerance? Are there any tests done? If so please upload the reports.
Waiting for your reply.

Sorry for being so brief. My sister was able to eat idli, dosa or basically any fermented food (which is soaked and grinded a night before for yeast culture). From about a year, she has developed intolerance to any of the food that is grounded into a paste and left overnight for the culture bacteria to develop (fermentation). The moment she has even one small idli, she would develop loose motions, vomitings, nausea and uneasiness.
Thankfully, she is able to eat bread and bread products. She does not have any intolerance or allergy to any other food. She visited a few doctors who said that this is not a curable disease and she may develop intolerance to breads in future.
I am worried for her and trying to look some medication/recommendation for a doctor/some treatment to get her problem resolved.
Apologies if I have mis-used some medical terms.

Brief Answer:
Food intolerance usually lasts for life
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
It is unfortunate that she developed intolerance to fermented foods. She still has options of non-fermented foods e.g in north XXXXXXX foods. There is a food intolerance test available by a pathology laboratory called SRL. They can find out by a simple blood test the names of all foods that she is intolerant to.
The test shows which food should be strictly avoided, which can be taken sometimes and which is safe.
Anyways it is not a life-threatening condition. Just there are these annoying symptoms and malabsorption of nutrients due to local inflammation in gut. Even if she takes the restricted food once in while she will be ok.
For now she needs to avoid the intolerant foods. Also she should take hygienic food and cleaner drinking water to avoid any concomitant infection of gut.
If you really need to see a doctor, you may visit a gastroenterologist.
Hope it helps.
