Suggest Remedy For Irregular Periods When Undergoing Perimenopause Stage?

Question: I'm 44 years old and have been going through irregular periods for the past 6 years. I know i'm in perimenopause and with my family history (mom and grandmother done by 45) I'm thinking it's not serious. The last periods have been 33, 39, then 17 and then I just got it again today (13 days). I have no other symptoms than getting old.LOL. I did go to the doctor in the summer as I was bleeding after sex (when it was close to ovulation) and they said everything was okay. The doctor did say they saw cervical changes (thinning from the year before : a sign of perimenopause.) Should I be concerned or just wait and see when I get my period again.
Brief Answer:
Pap smear and ultrasound scan needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello
I understand your concerns about irregular periods during perimenopausal phase.
This pattern is little out of the way. There should be more delayed periods and not so many early periods.
Bleeding after sex with early periods puts you at risk of cervical or endometrial cancers.
I need you to get 2 tests for screening:
1. Pap smear test for cervical cancer screening.
2. Endometrial ultrasound scan to check endometrial thickness.
I think you should see your doctor and discuss these possibilities.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
