Question: Yesterday I,began to itch on my ankles, buttocks, thighs, elbows, knees and backs of arms. Anywhere where it is hot. I am not ill, but have had a few chills. I do,not feel sick and no,rash. We bought a cat tree that smells and might have formaldehyde on it. I ate a lot of tomato, sauce lately, but I have never had a reaction from that before. I am a 70 year old woman.

HI
Thanks for posting your query to HCM .

There are 3 possible explanation for your symptoms .

1. Allergy to some material in cat tree or Formaldehyde .
2. Skin Dryness leading to Itching .
3. Allergy to some food you ate yesterday .

It's not possible to exactly pin point what is the cause . I advise you to wash the Cat tree with Salt water 2 times 12-24 hours interval in between .

Also apply thin paste of Calamine lotion where ever you feel itching 2 times a day for 3-4 days . Also after 4 days apply coconut or Olive oil to your body at night .

Also if he had taken some non veg food or sea food last night avoid it for few weeks .

Revert back if in case Itching persists .

Any doubts or Queries feel free to ask .

Happy to help you .

Regards .
