Brief Answer:
Stop this drug and give much fluids!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this loose stools and the difficulties with ofloxcin(O2). Did your soon have just loose stools or diarrhea? For how long had this been going on and how many times per day did he have these loose stools?

To me, diarrhea/loose stools never kills but failure to replace water does. I will suggest that you stop those O2 medications and provide him with much fluids. Most diarrhea resolves without the need of antibiotics unless a stool exam suggested they were absolutely needed. Even if that were the case, he’s clearly not tolerating and this should be stopped. New ones can be initiated if there were arguments for this in the first place of simply continue with fluids and monitor his response only. Keep me posted on this.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.

Hi,

Please, no additional medications are needed. I am all for fluids and nothing else. Unless something else comes up, he’s going to recover without any further worries. Keep me updated with his evolution.
