Suggest Remedy For Marks On Penis

Question: Hi !! I Observed minor injury marks on my penis and foreskin and applied neospirin after washing the area with savlon. However after one day I find that the foreskin is swollen and I feel pain due to it. Kindly advise.

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have developed infection of Foreskin and glns penis (Ballano Posthatitis)

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Are you diabetic?
2) Did you have unprotected sex very recently?
3) Is there itching of the foreskin ?

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine
2) Blood Sugar on empty stomach and 2 hours after lunch to rule out diabetes

Take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily and continue topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

thanks for the reply. the answers are:
1) I am not diabetic however I will get a blood sugar test done
2) yes I had
3) there is no itching as it was just a small cut mark visible initially and there was pain only when the foreskin got stretched. the swelling developed only after I washed with savlon and applied neospirin. can the swelling be a side effect of either savlon or neospirin ??

Swelling can not be due to Savlon or Neosporin .

Thanks for follow up .

In view of unprotected sex there is high possibility of infection being transmitted through sexual intercourse .

Ask your female partner whether she has any vaginal infection .If positive she may need to take treatment (Antibiotics)

Continue taking treatment suggested in my earlier reply .

It should get cured within a week .
