Suggest Remedy For Missed Abortion When Undergoing IVF
Question: I have blocked fallopian tubes due to which drs have suggested to go for IVF only.Previosly I had 2 fresh and 1 FET failed cycles.This time with fresh IVF, I concieved for about 9 weeks.Later I had bleeding in week 9 post which USG reports showed irregular sac. A week later USg reports showed that I had missed abortion.
Also my laproscopic report says,that my uterus is arcuate. The samples of featus have been sent for further chromosomal study.
Should this pattern repeat even for succeding conceptions? Should an arcuate uterus have been a problem?

Typical history of females with arcuate uterus is second trimester abortions and preterm labor and they can also be managed easily and many deliver a viable babies.
So just let go of all inhibitions and opt for fresh cycle of IVF-ET as soon as possible as you are young and history of a positive pregnancy improves the success rates much more.

Is irregular sac problem during pregnancy and will it repeat for subsequent conceptions?is there any special precuation or medication that may be helpful for avoiding such kind of complications for future pregnancy?

Hello dear, no irregular sac this time doesn't mean you will have it repeatedly in future.
It is most of the time related to the particular pregnancy itself and not much influenced by maternal facts.
But certain things can affect future pregnancies like thyroid hormone levels in the mother or antiphospholipid antibody also called as APLA.
So before conception I would recommend you certain tests-
- fasting and post prandial blood sugars
- APLA
- ANA
- Homocysteine levels
- TORCH IgM and IgG
- Thyroid hormone levels
Get these tests done and then we can discuss the reports.
Till then I would like to put her on tablet folic acid and low dose aspirin.
