Is Period Like Cramps With Pain Related To Early Labor?

Hi, I am 31 weeks pregnant and high risk due to history of preterm labor and a heart shaped uterus. The past week or so I have been getting period like cramps along with lower back pain, but it always goes away after about an hour. Is this a sign of early labor, or just normal pregnancy pains?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Braxten contractions are common in the third trimester but those are painless, if there is no leakage or severe pain Consult your gynecologist, as you are having preterm history take bed rest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
