Suggest Remedy For Nausea, Diarrhea And Pain In Abdominal Area
Appendicitis or even partial bowels obstruction can be the reason.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Lower right abdominal pain along with nausea and diarrhea can be caused by appendicitis, gastrointestinal infection or partial bowels obstruction due to Crohns disease or even colon cancer.
If the pain is present for few days (no longer), it aggravates while walking or coughing appendicitis can be the case.
If you have any bloating, cramps and the pain is present for longer than few days, partial bowels obstruction can be the case. If its Crohns disease, you may have blood and mucus in the stool.
Gastrointestinal infection gives usually also a fever.
As the reason of your pain can be very serious, I suggest you to do not wait with it any longer. Please consult your doctor. Abdominal ultrasound, blood work, urine analysis, abdominal x-ray should be done at first.
If no inflammation, colonoscopy should be done.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
Things have calmed down a bit and I am remembering past problems - could this be an ulcer? Seven yrs ago I was hauled into emergency with heat exhaustion. The hospital later informed me that I had an H.pylori infection. It was treated with Omeprazole. I have had some episodes of nausea since then, but it's all been so vague that I've just attributed it to drinking too much coffee. Switched to de-caf but I'm still drinking a lot of it. Had a colonoscopy five yrs ago which was completely clean. Just took my temperature - 96. Some pain on the lower left quadrant - same area as the right, pain has diminished thru the morning. Yes, I will contact my doctor ASAP.
Ulcer is not causing your pain.
Detailed Answer:
I do not think this is an ulcer. Please note that peptic ulcer gives upper middle abdominal pain. Pain is dull, does not radiate anywhere. It appears after a meal (stomach ulcer) or when you are hungry (duodenum ulcer).
H.Pylori infection does not mean you have an ulcer. Please note that approximately 80% of population has this infection. But only some of them have ulcers.
H.Pylori infection should be treated with antibiotics (Amoxicilline and Metronidazole) along with Omerpasole. Omeprasole only wont cure this infection.
Your nausea can be caused by stomach irritation. But lower abdominal pain is something else for sure.
Left and right lower abdominal pain can also appear due to simple bladder infection. Frequent urinating and burning while urinating can be present. But this is only a suspicion. Either way mentioned tests needs to be done to find out what is causing your pain.
I went to my doctor's emergency care clinic and so far I am a mystery. Everything checks out as normal, they are doing some blood-work and I will have the results and a follow-up visit with the doctor tomorrow. Thank-you for your help.
Hope you will get well soon.

I hope you will get proper diagnosis. Abdomen is very often a mystery indeed and sometimes it is very hard to find out what is causing the pain.
