Question: I have had breast cancer and been in remission for 5 years. I still take Femara once a day. I have problems with bleeding in my gut. Tiny spots that sometimes seep. I have anemia occasionally. My r cute is 8.5 now. I was diagnosed with a fib two yea
Rs and put on metoprolol 50 5 wife a day. It has been reduced to 25 twice. Per day. When I stand to walk, I feel faint a lot of the time and have to lower my head. Several times here lately I have become very shaky and have to have help to walk. This morning my be before meds was 95/45. I think the problem occurs after I have sugary foods or drinks so I have cut out obvious sugar. My a1c was 6.4. Any ideas.? Considering a diagnostic clinic
i feel nauseous most of the time. And have difficulty wanting to eat. Rarely get hungry

Brief Answer:
Please provide more information

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I had gone through your question very diligently and I really appreciate your concern

Looking at your description, Dizziness, sense of fainting and loss of appetite might be related to number of reasons like
Side effects of metoprolol
Postural hypotension.
Changes in blood sugar levels
Liver and gall bladder disease
Acid peptic disease like acid reflux or stomach hyperacidity

Here I would like further information for proper assessment of the condition like
You have mentioned about bleeding from guts; I would like to know whether you have undergone endoscopy/colonoscopy.?
Since how long you are having this problem
Are you having breathlessness or chest pain during the episode?
If you can upload me all the relevant report

In my opinion you need to identify the underlying cause and treatment accordingly
If you can write back to me with these details so that I will be able to tell you more accurately
Waiting for your reply
Best wishes

The bleeding problem results in black stool. No red blood. Have had endoscopy colonoscopy and dr . Told me what was happening. So I avoid aspirin etc. I have no polyps ulcers, etc. during episodes of weakness... No shortness of breath nor chest pain. I have had heart scope done, no problems. Dr said heart was in pristine condition
N. Just anything. Have had stress tests with great reports. Good grief, I sound like a hypochondriac!

Brief Answer:
You shouldn't label yourself as hypochondriac

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome again
In my opinion you should label yourself as hypochondriac.
This issue might be related to postural hypotension or anaemia

I would advise you to take iron tables with multivitamins to improve.your hemoglobin and oxygen carrying capacity of the blood
You should take plenty of fluids to.maintain good hydration
Be careful while.standing up with some support
sit for a few minutes when you have to stand up from lying position

If it persists even after correction of anaemia and after following these precautions than you need to consult a cardiologist for further course of action.

Hope this answers your question
Best wishes
