Suggest Remedy For Numbness In Hands And Feet Along With Seizure Like Spasms
Question: I have been having seizure like spasms affecting by upper body since August. I have Rt sided head pressure,rt hand numbness,re middle calf to rt foot numbness, I get pain in my rt eye lasting only seconds but it is very intense. when I lie down my hands twitch involuntarily and within 5 seconds I have a spasm.I had an MRI last evening and it could not be completed because I had so may spasms. My EEG was normal but at the time I was on Dilantin PLease advise me on questions I should ask my Neurologist

The first and foremost question that you should ask the doctor is that if this is actually a seizure. By your description of the symptoms, I an quotes unsure that thus us a seizure disorder. There are many possible causes of shaking if the hand that are not seizures. Clonus and tremors are 2 examples.
So if this us not a seizure, you need not take those medicines.
The reasons why I don't think you have a seizure is as follows-
You have these movements that affect the entire body. So I think it's generalised by that fact. Now you were conscious as us obvious from the fact that you were aware of the coming of the episodes while on mri.
So I think this ain't a seizure.
So that's the first question you should ask.
Assuming this is a Seizure, you need to ask them further what medicines you are on, what are the possible side effects, and how long you need to take them?
Also you should discuss thectriggers- stimuli that will activate the seizures.
And finally ,I think you should ask eat you need to do If you develop a sudden seizure- or more to the point what your on lookers should do.
