Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am at the point where I will have to schedule in the real near future for knee replacement and I have been having symptoms of foot numbness on the outside of my left foot by my little toe. I always have swelling in my knee and when I go in to see my orthopedic doctor he has to aspirate it. Could the fluid in my knee be causing numbess in my foot??
Swelling in knee must be investigated.Repeated aspiration of knee is not desirable.cause of numbness of foot could be neuropathy. kindly go to hospital for proper investigations & treatment.
Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
