Suggest Remedy For Osteopenia
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hi Dr. xxxxxxx, I'm a 52 year old female, non-smoker, good shape, no significant health issues other than a lower right bundle branch block, PVC's and Sinus Br. The last couple of weeks I've been experiencing problems in both of my legs - groin to thigh region. When I walk or stand it feels like my legs are going to buckle. I haven't been doing any unusual exercising. Haven't strained myself that I know of. I was diagnosed with osteopenia in my upper hip / legs a couple of years ago. I need to go in for a repeat bone scan. Could this be what's wrong? Thanks! XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
local problem
Detailed Answer:
Hi
it seems that you have some orthopedic problem which is different than your heart problem.
It might be due to spinal canal stenosis which is causing compression of nerves in your lower back or simple muscle spasm.
I advice you to go for a x ray lumber spine. And definitely bone scan also, for your osteopenia status.
meanwhile you can see a physiotherapist for exercises
hope this will help
take care
