Question: Have pain on the left side of my lower abdomen so I went for a abdominal-pelvic scan. the result shows I have multiple fibroid. I do not want to go for surgery/operation. what do I do?

Presence of multiple fibroids themselves is not indication for surgery.
Surgery to be considered, if:
-Fibroids are causing symptoms like excessive or prolonged menstrual bleeding, severe pain during menstruation etc.
-Large size fibroids causing compression over surrounding structures like bladder and bowel.
-Treatment options of fibroids also depends on age of the woman, family completed or not etc .
As you are having only two small size fibroids, if you are not having severe dysmenorrhea or menorrhagia, surgery may not be needed at present.
You can follow measures like:
-Taking antispasmodic drugs to pain. -If pain subsides, you can continue with regular followup ultrasound examinations in every six months. If fibroids are not increasing in size, symptomatic treatment is enough.

my last period ended on friday 23rd, had severe MP on Thursday I had to take 2 cataflam pills. Have pelvic pain plus mild abdominal pain now there's mild bleeding.

Hello. I checked online for this medication, d side effect of the 2 drugs are risk high and am nt comfortable with it.

Pelvic infection can lead to vaginal discharge, foul smell etc.
If pelvic infection involves uterus that can affect the endometrium and rarely fibroid.
But as your ultrasound is showing empty uterus with normal endometrium, the possibility of uterine infection is less.
By clinical examination the possibility of vaginal infection can be identified and treated. Vaginal swab culture and sensitivity can help in identifying the possible causative agent and its sensitivity to drugs and treatment can be planned accordingly.
