Question: I am 66. I do not know how I hurt my left foot. I did go on a tread mill for 45 minutes, but mostly i was bending over and pulling weeds at a house. There was no single event but now the pad of my foot hurts to put pressure on and also the second toe. Do you think this is arthritus? I have been soaking it in epson salts. I have also put on DMSO. No results and it is a month now. I have bone spurs in big toe on other foot and degenerative arthritis.

Brief Answer:
You hurt your foot on the treadmill, this is common with runners

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. What you describe is common with people who run, you will need to make sure that the shoes you use next time are the best for you, also it is the thumping of the feet that causes injury. I would take Ibuprofen scheduled like 400mg three times a day as long as you have no ulcers and have never bleed from your GI system, for the next 3-4 days as your inflammation in your foot/feet resolves. This should not preclude you from running, just continue cautiously and do not overdo it. Good luck.
