Brief Answer:
NSAIDS like naproxen can be taken for now

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

The area involving the knee , thigh and lower leg needs to be examined. Both lower limbs need to be compared for presence of any significant difference. If there is disproportionate swelling in one or both limbs then a doppler ultrasound can be done to look for patency of the vessels and rule out a clot.

If the examination is normal and no signs of degenerative arthritis are found then it's likely to be musclear sprain or a twisting injury. NSAIDS and muscle relaxants can be advised along with physiotherapy. Vitamin D and B 12 supplements can also be added to this regimen if this issue is recurring frequently.
