Hi,

I understand your concern.

1. Have you noted any bump on that particular part of skin?

2. In case of previous gum infection, the skin might remain a bit sensitive for a few more days until full recover.

3. If you have a recent history of face trauma or dental work, it is normal to have a pain when press at respective area.

I advise to:
- apply a good oral hygiene
- avoid biting hard foods
- be careful when chewing up foods
- take medications (antibiotics if any) as prescribed by your doctor;
- regular follow ups with your dentist

It's the hard bit that looks like it got veins in it looks abit swollen, I brush my teeth twice a day I went to the dentist fri and she said the hygenist will help with that but I can't see her until another 2 weeks I'm sooo scared I'm gonna lose my / teeth

As per your description, it seems to be inflammed gingiva. As long as there is no severe infection, abscess or fistula, there is nothing to worry about losing your teeth. Avoid foods/drinks that would irritate gingiva.

Viral infection can also cause swollen gingiva. Keep a good oral hygiene.

Hi I went to my dentist last week and I told her and she said the hygenist will help with that however I can't get in for 2 weeks, I use mouth wash twice a day, it only is sore on that hard skin at the front and no where else on my gums, however the part that is attached from front when I touch with my tongue feels like my teeth are going to fall out I'm soo scared my teeth are going to fall out

X-ray of the teeth can be done to determine at what extent damages have occurred to teeth root and if there is risk to lose it?

Hi do you have a email address I can send to as it won't let me over here, I saw my dentist 2 days ago and all she said was my gums are bit unhealthy, and the hygienist would help with that but my teeth won't fall out but I can't get in to see the hygenist for 2 weeks but I'm so scared there going to fall out I can't sleep

I have noted the swollen gingiva. It is really inflamed. I still think you need to take oral antibiotics and to avoid chewing up hard foods and apply gum soothing gel locally.

However, I still think you will not lose your teeth although such irritation.

- run a thorough examination of your gums
- if tartar is present, the hygienist will evaluate at what extent it has caused damages to your teeth
- depending on what he/she will find, a more specific management will be advised. If plaques and tartars are present will try to remove them and clean your teeth.
