Suggest Remedy For Pain While Suffering From Yeast Infection
Question: I had a yeast infection that I am taking a 7 day cream for. I didn't start taking the cream until about 2 days after I got the infection. The infection has seem to cleared up, but I am still using the cream just to be cautious. During the two days that I was not taking the cream I scratched the lips of my vagina very badly in two places. It now severely burns when I go to the bathroom in those areas. I haven't had foul smelling discharge, nausea, fever, chills, etc. so I'm not too worried about it being more than a yeast infection. I normally get yeast infections around the time of my period and I'm due in a few days. My question is is there anything I can do to relieve the pain of those scratches or anything I can use to speed up the healing process?
Brief Answer:
Sitz bath required
Detailed Answer:
Hello
I understand your concerns about injury on vulva due to scratching.
This infection you described is definitely fungal infection as it has responded and healed.
This injury on vulva due to scratching will heal slowly and does not need any additional treatment. All you need is sitz bath twice a day with warm water containing antiseptic.
This needs about a week to heal. Keep the wound dry after each sitz bath.
This is nothing more than this and no need to worry about it.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
