Suggest Remedy For Persistent Fever

Question: Hi

On monday i got fever till wednesday. since than i am feeling comparatively better. but today ( friday) I saw rashes on my body.. could it be a dengue ?
I dont now have headache.. bodyache.. but feeling weakness... platelets are 243 today.

What could be the reason for rashes?

Thanks for posting your query.

There are many other infections ( apart from Dengue ) that can cause rashes . For example Typhoid, measels , chickenpox etc.

Or it could also be due to any drug allergy ( if at all you had taken for fever ) .

Normally we see low platelet count in Dengue Infection but again only one reading of platelet count is not sufficient to comment about Dengue .

I recommend you to repeat Platelet count test tomorrow and if it is dropping then you better get tested for Dengue ( test is Dengue NS1 Ag and IgM dengue Abs )
