Suggest Remedy For Persistent Muscle Cramps While Having IBS And Cardiovascular Disease

Question: My husband just turn 50, has cardiovascular disease. For years he has muscle cramps (charlie horse) spasms everywhere. He particularly has them MORE after exercising but they come all the time, at any given time now--just sitting or relaxing. His legs, fingers, under his arms, his jaw, etc. He takes a supplement of magnesium of six tabs a day. (online McBright, mag.) Weve tried everything from bananas to Super Complex B, potassium supplements, etc. He states he feels like he's becoming weaker over a period of time. No matter what we do anymore, a XXXXXXX horse is part of our everyday life. He has medicine for high blood, Lisinipril. In addition, IBS is random-so we thought maybe that was it, maybe his small intestive wasnt absorbing the magnesium or some other supplement. That didn't work either, regardless the cramps return. He works regularly, avid hunter and fisherman and in good shape with his weight. Any suggestion because every physician we ask does not have an answer nor makes suggestion. Just clueless.
Brief Answer:
Require investigation for diagnosis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Muscle cramps can be due to many reasons and electrolyte imbalances are one of the common cause.
Other blood investigation like blood sugar, vitamin D, vitamin B12, calcium, phosphate, renal and liver function test, complete hemogram should be done along with CPK-MM or total.
Is there any motor weakness, sensory loss, bladder bowel involvement.
Any other drugs?
Provide more details and investigation if any.
