Suggest Remedy For Rashes And Swelling In Neck And Collarbone

Question: tonight i noticed that the left side of my shoulder very close to the neck and just above the collar bone swells up when i raise my left elbow. i have had a rash above the collarbone for the past two days and have been with cold like symptoms and funny stomach for around 3 or 4 weeks. don't know if all this is related but have been feeling unwell for a while now.

I see a rather large swelling which looks like a cyst. In order to help you I need a few more details

1. Is the swelling hard to touch or soft?
2. Does it feel fluid filled?
3. Is it painful?
4. Is there a rise of temperature when you touch on it?
5. Are You feeling any throbbing pulsation while touching/pressing it?

As i said, i also have that rash on collar bone since 2 days and flu like symptoms for last 3 - 4 weeks, that is a bit of a runny nose, slightly sore throat, bit of a cough and been to the toilet twice with loose stools in last 5 hours. No fever. Don't know if related but best tell you. Tx.

Thanks for getting back, I am sorry for the short delay in my reply. I was on call at my hospital.

I dont think the swelling is related to the rash you have had. Viral exanthems leads to lymph node enlargement but the size I would expect would be not more than 1- 2cm. However pathological enlargement of the lymph node could be a possiblity. I strongly recommend that you undergo biopsy of the swelling as soon as possible to rule out benign/malignant lesion, all the more because you are symptomatic.
