Suggest Remedy For Rashes On Skin Along With Fever
Question: My daughter woke up Christmas eve with a rash that looked identical to fifths disesase all over her body but not much on face. She had fever for a few days prior with no other symptoms. The rash lasted about 1 day. Now two weeks later she woke up with the same exact rash but now it's really bad on her cheeks and chin. Can fifths disease stay in the system that long? Is it still contagious if so? I hear there is no medicines to treat it, but since shes still affected is there anything we need to do? Today is day two of the new rash. She is 5 years old female.
Brief Answer:
Looks like Viral exanthem- need images
Detailed Answer:
Hi...
1. First of all, we don't know for sure if its fifth disease in 1st instance.
2. Fifth disease can't stay that long in system.
3. If this new rash is fifth disease, it is contagious now.
4. Nothing specific, only paracetamol for fever, if itching some antiallergics.
I suggest you upload photos the the skin lesions so that I can see the rash and guide you scientifically.

Brief Answer:
It looks like fifth disease
Detailed Answer:
Hi...I have gone through the photographs you have provided. It looks like fifth disease.
Coming to your question about contagiousness - A kid with fifth disease is most contagious before the rash appears — either during the incubation period (the time between infection and the onset of symptoms) or when experiencing only mild respiratory symptoms. The rash is the result of an immune system reaction that occurs after the infection has passed, so the kid usually aren't contagious once it appears.
