Suggest Remedy For Recurring Itching And Infection On The Skin

need not be worried about ketoconazole
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to HCM forum.
Thanks for posting to us.
I have gone through your query in detail and understand your concerns.
Itching and rash responding to ketoconazole indicates a superficial fungal infection of the skin (tinea). To prevent recurrence, we have to continue application for 4 to 6 more weeks after disappearance of symptoms. So next time, lets keep this in mind. Also, always keep the area clean and dry. Moisture promotes fungal growth.
Regarding ketoconazole, this is a very commonly used anti fungal agent used for decades without serious side effects. Nothing to worry about this. Anyhow if you are not comfortable with, you can freely discuss this with your doctor as there are equally effective alternative agents like clotrimazole, miconazole etc.
Hope I have answered your query.
Be free to ask further questions if any.
Wishing you good health.
Thank you.

Can be treated with Fluconazole if topical antifungals fail.
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Thanks for follow up.
The infection can be treated with fluconazole. But this is used only when there are multiple lesions, when the person is immunocompromised or when the infection fails to resolve with full course of topical antifungals. This can be tried to treat your condition but we have to discuss with your doctor. This can not be used without a prescription.
Fungal infection can cause allergic reactions; but this occurs in the form of allergic rashes in other parts of body and not as allergic rhinitis or sneezing.
Hope now you got cleared.
If you have no further questions, you can close the discussion and rate the answer; otherwise I will be happy to help.
Wishing you good health.
Thank you.

Take more fruits and veges.
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Superficial fungal infections are very common in the general community and immunodeficiency is not a prerequisite. Try to include more green leafy vegetables, pulses and fruits in the diet as an adequate supply of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients can improve and maintain our immunological status.
Keeping a healthy diet and improving personal hygiene can help reducing incidence of such infections; but once occurred, we have to treat them with appropriate drugs.
Take care.
Thank you.
