Suggest Remedy For Recurring Lower Back Pain
I have had back pain for the last 4 days after moving some stuff in the shed and this morning I woke up without too much back pain but a weird feeling down my back from neck to butt and then a couple of periods of weird numbess (slight) in my left leg and arm. Has gone away now. Is this a sign my nerve is suffering? What should I do?
You are likely to be having acute muscular pain.

Hi
Thanks for your query
I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. It is more likely to be muscular pain rather than a pinched nerve. Treatment of it is rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Mecobalamine is helpful in resolving nerve pains.
However pinched nerve can be ruled out by MRI of spine. MRI also exclude disc prolapse which is also probable cause of such backache.
You can also advised to get your vitamin D level and if found low it can be supplemented with vitamin D3. During pain period you are advised to rest and analgesics. During pain free period you are advised back exercises to strengthen your back.
You can discuss with your doctor about it.
Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.
Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

Hi
