Suggest Remedy For Severe Abdominal Pain In A Child
![default](/r/images/default.png)
He needs more calories to get satisfied
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to the HCM
I completely understand your concerns but don't worry. Infants at this age cry for various reasons. Hunger and poor nutrition is one such reason which is most often missed. Breastfeeding is not enough to fullfill the requirements of a growing child after 6 months of age. They need more food which includes carbohydrates ( cereals like wheat, rice, oats, barley, ragi), proteins( pulses, soya beans, nuts ), green vegetables, milk products ( cheese, butter, milk cream), fruits, oils. An infant should be given at least 4-5 bowls of complementary feeds along with breast milk 3-4 times a day.
If you have not introduced any complimentary feeds till now, then gradually do it in puried form.
This will help his peristalsis and constipation as well. And crying will definitely improve.
Hopefully this will help you. I would be happy to help you in any further questions.
Take care

You may give lactulose for relief
Detailed Answer:
Hi
It's good that you are giving a good complementary diet with breast feeds. So, if your child still seems to be constipated, then I would recommend you to start him on Syp. Lactulose. It's a stool softener and safe drug.
Also, give plenty of water along with natural stool softener like soaked raisins, barley or oatmeal cereals, prunes, peaches, plums, apricots and most vegetables . Avoid any food which cause constipation such as banana, rice or cooked carrots.
Hopefully this will be of help.
Take care
