Brief Answer:
may be side effect of chemo
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
This can well be due to side effect of chemo. Chemo causes death of cells in the lining of stomach and intestine and it causes inflammation, ulcers, etc. This can cause pain.
this can well be managed with antacids, anti-spasmodics and pain killers.
Hope this helps.

Is the stomach pain concerning,I was advised to increase her cremaffin intake and to also give in the morning too.
please advise what antacis, antispasmodic and painkiller to take while she is on RCHOP- FIRST cycle.
Will rchop be effective to even kill the lymphoma cells that are in bone marrow, and also to reduce the enlarged spleen.Does stage 4, grade 3a mean that, it is too advanced to get it in control?
Does RCHOP cause severe side effects.
Which side effect should we be more worried about if it occurs, as it takes a lot of time in vellore to see a doc for any side effect that she faces.
Please tell me the tips ans tricks during chemotherapy.
What handy medication should we keep at home to handle some common side effects.

Brief Answer:
yes it can control
Detailed Answer:
R-CHOP can certainly control stage 4 follicular lymphoma. it is very effective.
It can cause side effects like gastritis, loose motions, constipation, drop in blood counts, infections/fever, etc.
Fever is the most dreaded complication as immunity becomes very low. In case of fever she should attend emergency immediately for starting intravenous antibiotics.
Common antacids and antispasmodics which we use in our patients are gelusil, mucaine gel, pantoprazole, buscopan, etc. For constipation we use lactulose/cremaffin and for loose motions imodium/lomotil. You can discuss these with her doc, whether these can be applied to her if need arises.
