Suggest Remedy For Severe Diarrhoea

default
Posted on Tue, 27 Oct 2015
Question: I have been diarrhea for almost 72 hours now. I have tried eating just bland foods but it doesn't help. It comes and goes, strikes early morning (4/5 AM) and then lays off and comes back late afternoon.

Some more information. I am obese. I am usually pretty regular as far as pooping. Saturday I had a donut, a burger and a steak and cheese for the day and then it started Sunday am about 5. I was fine from 12-4ish and then I had it a couple times. I had crackers and peanut butter for dinner. Monday morning around 5 I had it again and then around 6. I was fine all day until 3 or 4 ish. (I had a lean cuisine for lunch). Then had it again around 6. Had a baked potato (no toppings) and chicken for dinner. I had it again around 5 and then have had it in increased regularity at 12 until now, 5.

It looks to be due to the gastroenteritis and you need to start the treatment.

If I was your treating physician I would have prescribed you with:-
Rifaximin by mouth if not allergic to.
Levosulpiride+Pantoprazole.
If fever you may take Tylenol.
Citrucel dietary fiber supplement with water.
Imodium by mouth.
Pedialyte (oral rehydration solution)

Avoid fried foods and yes keep the bland diet until get better.
