Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:
1. Ibuprofen is not contradicted in G6PD deficiency. It is very much safe.
2. Dosage can vary between 400-800 mg and can be taken upto 3 times a day. Preferably after food.
3. Also topical analgesic gels like diclofenac or even ibuprofen can be additionally used. Alternatively, hot or cold pack application, depending on comfort can be used. If there is spasm like pain in the back, muscle relaxant like chlorzoxazone can be used, which is also safe.
4. After mild reduction in pain, exercises and strengthening of muscles around back and shoulders necessary to avoid repeat pains.

Hope it helps.
