Suggest Remedy For Shortness Of Breath And Chest Pain While On Vyvanse

default
Posted on Mon, 11 Jan 2016
Question: I took 60 mlg of vyvnase today, and yesterday 30mlg. This is my 4th day on vyvanse for the treatment of ADHD. yesterday i began having shortness of breath, and very mild chest pain. This would happen for about 8 hrs then started to go away. Today i took 60 mlg at 8am and started having worse chest pains, especially in the left region, also shortness of breath, and lots of burping and gas. Should i discontinue the medication? I tried contacting my doctor and she has not gotten back to me.

Brief Answer:
yes you should stop medicine for a while

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thanks for writing to us.

It is clear that you have problem in breathing and chest pain after taking vyvanse. Cardiovascular side effects are there in few patients due to vyvanse. These side effects are rare but sometime serious. In that case better to stop the medicine and consult your doctor soon for further evaluation.

Let me know if you are taking any other medicine with vyvanse so I can check for drug interactions also.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
