Question: I am 20 years old and a virgin, however recently i have started to notice small white sports when i pull my foreskin back near the tip of my penis. The dots are very small and are clustered together on my foreskin surrounding the tip of my penis. The dots are extremely small and hard to notice. I think i noticed them in the past as well, maybe a few years ago but thought nothing of it. What could this be? I don't think they are papules since they do not surround the head of the penis they are on the foreskin and the dots look much smaller than what I have seen on the internet. Help is appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Normal dead skin

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health concerns.

You are concerned about finding white spots where you pull back the foreskin of your penis. This is actually just old dead skin and is not anything to be alarmed about. It is real important for you to clean yourself well. Be sure to pull the foreskin back and clean the area gently with soap and water. This will resolve and not cause any problems

Okay thank you very much for the prompt response! Also to add, the spots are in clusters mostly on the left side of the penis. Its on the foreskin and it somewhat surrounds the tip of the penis but is mostly prominent on the left side. It almost looks like a rash.

Yeasty type rash

Detailed Answer:
Yes they area can get somewhat red and irritated from the skin and may even have some yeast elements in the debris. If it does get red you can use a little tinactin cream to reduce the redness

Okay will do. The box for Tinactin cream says its for athletes foot, but also it says anti fungal cream. Would this still be okay even though its says athletes foot?

Okay thank you. Is it safe if the tin actin cream touches the head of the penis? because in order to apply the cream to the affected area i have to pull the foreskin back, and the cream ends up under the foreskin. Also if you could give me an idea of how long I should be applying the cream that would be helpful. Thanks again!
