My blood sugar is about 120 and A1 close to 6.0.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your question.
Noted your concern.
HbA1c of 6 denotes Pre-diabetes if there is no previous diabetes.
With age of 92 there are many possibilities for swollen feet.
- Hypoproteinemia low protein level which may be due to poor nutrition, Liver or Kidney disease.
- Heart problem.
- Anemia (low Haemoglobin).
In such cases I may suggest following investigation -
- Complete Blood Count.
- Liver function test including Total protein and albumin.
- Renal function test.
- ECG and 2DEcho of heart.
- Ultrasonography of abdomen and pelvis.
Depending upon detailed clinical examination and above test results appropriate decision can be taken.
You should consult your physician.
Hope this helps you.
Regards,
Dr Abhay Mali.
