I have been giving my left wrist a workout opening screw top bottle, etc. And as of yesterday I am in a "backpack" back brace. I have fractures in my vertebrae. I did have carpal tunnel surgeries in both wrists 20 yrs ago, so I wonder if orthopaedically I have run out of "running room?"

Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Carpal tunnel surgeries:
Surgical failure is most often associated with incorrect or incomplete diagnosis or incomplete ligament division.
Open and endoscopic release can effectively divide the transverse carpal ligament and increase canal volume .
Rarely is repeat release indicated or helpful.
