Brief Answer:
Get ECG

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I have read your query in detail and i understand your concern.
Since you are hypertensive then any breathlessness that may or may not be associated with chest Pain needs to be evaluated for Cardiac causes of chest pain.
However, Acid reflux and Muscular pain needs to be kept in consideration.
It is important to differentiate between the all as the treatment course is entirely different.
The medicines are not going to cause the breathlessness. So, if you have any chest pain or chest heaviness associated, let me explain you the presentations of chest pain in muscular pain cases and cardiac pain cases.
The Muscular chest pain is dull and diffuse and any movement aggravates it. It is usually continuous and not intermittent like Cardiac Chest Pain. Cardiac chest pain is severe and crushing in nature. It increases on activity like walking, exercising. It often radiates to left arm, shoulder and nape of neck.
So, i would advice you to get:
1.ECG
2.Chest X-ray.
3.Treadmill test (TMT).
If the ECG and Chest Xray are normal, the pain is probably Muscular or due to Acid reflux.
For acid reflux, i would advise you to take a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone once a day.
Share my opinion with your doctor. If you have any further query, please ask me.
I hope it helps.

Brief Answer:
Asthma is the possibilty.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
In that case asthma is the cause for your breathlessness. You should take proper treatment of asthma in that case. I would advice you to get a Chest- X-Ray and Pulmonary function test performed, and take inhalers for proper control of asthma.
As far as anti hypertensive drugs are concerned, you just need to avoid beta blockers in case of associated asthma, as beta blockers aggravate that. You can take Tetalct CT. It is considered safe in Asthma patients.
I hope it helps.
