The pain is mostly moderate and seems to go away depending on when I take the Advil. After 4 to 6 hours when it gets more troublesome is when I take it. I'm pretty tired too, which I have blaming on the antibiotic. As it's Sunday, I have been waiting to call the Endodontist, who I only saw once. I don't know if this is normal, but he did tell me it was one of his more difficult ones in months but that he was happy with the outcome. It doesn't seem to increase on lying down or chewing and I wasn't told to come back. As he had to drill through the top of a crown, I'm to go to my regular dentist to have the temporary covering replaced.
Brief Answer:
Seems like re-infection in the treated tooth..
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome Again..
As per your complain it seems like there has been re-infection in the root canal treated tooth and it is the cause of pain..
You should not get the capping replaced as it will be wasted..
You should consult your Endodontist back and get the x- Ray of the tooth done to rule out the exact cause of the problem..
The tooth may require re-treatment or extraction depending upon condition of tooth..
You can also revert me back with the x Ray of tooth so that I can advise you how to proceed.
Any further questions are welcome..
Thanks and regards.
