Suggest Tests That Dont Involve Dye To Check For Heart Blockage

Question: Hi, my mom has had a previous heart attack and bypass surgery years ago. She is a diabetic now for 50 years. She has been told she has another blockage but not exactly sure where it is. I want to know if there is any specific test they can do for her besides any of the ones that involve dye? Her kidney dr. told her the XXXXXXX would have too much risk for her because her kidney function is already very low. What would be the alternative test or procedure that could tell them what they need in order to fix this problem? Thanks
Brief Answer:
Can do cardiac MRI instead...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through the medical history of your mother and understood your worries.
If the dye would have too much risk for her due to impaired kidney function, I suggest to do cardiac MRI as all other investigations require dye
Let me know if you have other concerns regarding your mother! I'd be happy to assist her further!

Brief Answer:
Can choose MRI without contrast...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Thank you for following up.
Please bare in mind that there are two types of MRI examination with and without contrast.
The best choice is MRI with contrast; however, if MRI is done without using contrast, there will be provided enough information regarding your heart and blood vessels status.
