Suggest The Ideal Dosage For Ibuprofen Taken For An Abscessed Tooth

Brief Answer:
Ibuprofen maximum 4 times a day
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome
I appreciate your concern
You should avoid taking ibuprofen 800 every 3 hours as that would count as an overdose.
800 mg oral dose can be increased to a maximum 4 times a day which means taking it every 8hours. The dose should not exceed 3.2 g/day. I would also advise adding a PPI such as omeprazole 40 mg to the regimen as part of the treatment to avoid NSAID induced ulceration or erosion in GI tract.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
