Suggest The Ideal Dosage For Ligaplex

Posted on Tue, 8 Mar 2016
Question: If ligaplex I if has been deemed safe on your website , how do I justify the 35 mg of magnesium in one pill when from what I've read I should not consume more than 11 mg a day . Ligaplex recommended dosage suggested 2 pills per meal ? After taking it for a few days it seemed I had a feeling of anxious or doom or just futility? Does that make any sense ?

Brief Answer:
Relevant facts disclosed

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

The RDA for Magnesium for your age and sex is 420mg/day.

When taking in a pill form, the upper limit is 350mg/day.The range is 100 to 300 mg/day

Hence 2 pills of LIGAPLEX account for 70 mg, which is well with in the normal limits.

But in your case, You seem to experience side effects of LIGAPLEX even at low doses.

Hence I advice you you in initially go with one pill of LIGAPLEX every alternative day for 2 weeks, then get your blood Magnesium levels tested. If normal, increase it to one pill a day and repeat blood Magnesium after 4 weeks.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you

Sorry but I was mistaken . My concern was not magnesium , it was manganese. How does that change your answer ?

Brief Answer:
Mn levels are clearly in excess

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

I apologize for the delayed response owning to my work schedule.

The daily adequate intake for Manganese is 2.3mg .

And the tolerable upper limit is 11mg /day.

Hence based on above values, definitely LIGAPLEX contains Mn in excess which is probably unsafe in my point of view .

The symptoms which you experienced could be related to Mn excess.

It's advisable to stop the intake of these pills even though few studies have documented no long-term adverse effects by consumption of these health supplements.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you
