Minoz OD tablet can be taken for upto 5-6 months for acne.
Low ferritin indicates there is shortage of iron stores in the body.
It can be corrected by taking iron tablets in the form of ferrous fumarate and increasing the intake of iron containing foods like red meat, chicken, green leafy vegetables like spinach, seafood, beans, dried fruits like raisins and apricots.

Can u pls prescribe a tablet for low ferritin.i dont want a syrup.

Minoz is not harmful if taken for 5 months? I take 100 mg once a day.

All the oral drugs for acne are taken for a minimum of 4-6 months to achieve maximum benefit.
Minocycline is not harmful if taken for 5 months but it should be taken under supervision of a doctor and with regular monitoring.
It can lead to pigmentary changes in the skin and mucosa which is usually reversible post therapy.
It can cause a lupus like reaction in few individuals on long term usage which is again reversible. One should go for liver function tests and ANA at baseline and repeat after every 3-6 months if on long term minocycline.
