Brief Answer:
please provide more details

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I'm going to need more information to give you my best advice. First of all, please inform me about your medical history. Do you have any aneurysm or heart disease?
If you don't then there is no reason to hasten blood pressure lowering. A high reading is not good for your health in the long run but it won't hurt you even if sustained for hours or days. Very high readings (higher than 200mmHg - systolic) would require treatment, just in case...

You'd better work with your doctor to achieve a relatively stable blood pressure with a stable treatment. Taking 10mg of amlodipine today and 5mg of amlodipine plus another drug the other day does not help to achieve that.

I'll be glad to do more comments when you provide the necessary information.

Kind Regards!
