Suggest Treatment For Condyloma Infection

Condyloma are contagious
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM
I am sorry to hear that you have condyloma. Condyloma are genital warts that are caused by the human papilloma virus and can be transmitted to others.
To treat condylomas I usually have my patients use a medication called condylox. This is a gel form of a medication called podofilox. You apply this gel on the warts twice a day for 3 days then repeat again in 4 days if the warts are still there. Keep treating every 7 days till the warts are gone. Since it is a form of a light acid it may cause redness and bleeding of the skin.
Your doctor can also treat the warts with liquid podophyllin, laser treatment or with cryotherapy.
To help prevent spread of the lesions I recommend you use condoms during sex.

Urethra condyloma
Detailed Answer:
For the condyloma that are inside your urethra your doctor will need to treat that directly with either laser therapy or cryotherapy (freezing with liquid nitrogen). I recommend you see a urologist or your primary care doctor to get proper treatment.
These type of warts can not usually be treated with the condylox as the urethra is a much more sensitive area

Spread of the condyloma
Detailed Answer:
Without treatment there is danger of the wart spreading to other parts of your penis. Your bodies normal defenses maybe able to control the infection and it may not spread but usually without some type of treatment the warts have a tendency to spread.
Your sexual partners will also be at risk for contracting the infection.
I urge you to seek medical attention.. Even though I can tell you are anxious about this problem it is better to get it treated now instead of when it is larger and more difficult to treat
